Hello Everyone, Attached is the current list and I want to mention the Regional Conference, 25-28 June 2020 in Medford OR for your planning. We have the walks identified, the venue selected and plans are firming up for several social events; it's going to be outstanding! Our hotel is the Inn at the Commons, which will host the Thursday Meet and Mingle as well as the Saturday Banquet. Louise Dix, OTSVA President, has negotiated a block reservation with the hotel at very good rates and provided reservation information below. By the way, Tater Tours has already booked 30 rooms at the hotel, so commit early and join the fun. Reservations are now live and available to be made online or over the phone. Attendees can call the hotel directly at (toll free 866) 541-779-5811 and request guest rooms in the group block for Rogue Valley Regional Walking Conference or use the online booking link: https://www.reseze.net/servlet/SendPage?hotelid=1515&skipfirstpage=true&page=337329 Many thanks to the Four Plus Foolhardy Folks for hosting three spectacular walks in Larrabee State Park this weekend! Louise and I were extremely thrilled with the hikes and look forward to their next event. Check out our postings on Facebook. As with all events, a lot of time and energy goes into planning the walks and the payoff is your attendance. I encourage all NW walkers to look beyond your communities and support your neighboring clubs' events. Shown first are the eager volunteers at the Four Plus event and next are two tired, yet delighted, hikers atop Oyster Dome high above Samish Bay.
So far I have just under 100 Year Round/Seasonal Events reviewed for 2020 and a few more in the queue to be approved. That means there are still about 300 to be submitted by your clubs. Please keep working at building your 2020 plans. Also, the 2020 calendar is wide open for Traditional events, so start locking in your dates for those events as well. It's been my experience that the further out you plan and advertise your events, the better attended they are. Thanks, Tom NW Regional Director 829 NW 44th Ave Camas WA 98607 505-298-1256 "Solvitur ambulando, St. Augustine said It is solved by walking." "If you seek creative ideas go walking.
